Spirotech removes air automatically

N.B. If the free air is not located at the highest point but is ‘trapped’ elsewhere in the system, then problems will arise that can lead to unnecessarily high energy consumption. The trapped free air can be removed by making the system water ‘absorptive’ using a micro bubble deaerator or a vacuum degasser.

Absorptive water
Water always contains a certain amount of dissolved air and tends to seek a state of balance. The removal of micro bubbles and dissolved air from the water in fact creates an imbalance. At points in the system where free air is trapped, the deaerated water will absorb this free air and thus the balance will be restored. By doing this, large air bubbles will disappear completely.

How Spirotech Micro Bubble Deaerators work
Spirotech’s deaerators have a two-stage system of operation. During the first stage, the micro bubbles are separated from the water. These bubbles are collected at the top of the deaerator. During the second stage, the separated air will be removed by means of an automatic valve and discharged outside. As a result, the system water is able to occupy the whole space and operate at maximum efficiency.

During deaeration, the blow-off valve ensures continuous operation under all circumstances. The valve cannot be locked and is guaranteed leak-resistant. The construction is designed so that any floating dirt is never able to reach the deaeration valve. How Spirotech Vacuum Degassers work
With vacuum degassing, part of the system fluid is temporarily put in an under-pressure (vacuum) condition. The gases dissolved in the fluid are released, separated and removed from the system. The degassed absorptive fluid is returned to the system and can absorb any free gases present again.

The choice between a continuous flow deaerator and a vacuum degasser will depend on the level and complexity of a system. To learn more, go to the product page on our website for the SpiroVent Superior Vacuum Degasser.

The benefits of a Spirotech Dearator:
• Energy savings of up to 25%
• Fewer malfunctions and faults
• Extend the life of central heating systems
• Can be installed in new and existing system

A deaerator will increase the life of a central heating system and reduce fault sensitivity considerably.
